Dental Network of America Select Referral Program

The Dental Network of America, Inc. (DNoA) Select Referral Program is a national dental network of over 15,000 dentists. DNoA Select provides discounts at certain dental care providers for dental services. This means that when you utilize a DNoA Select contracted dentist, you will save money on your dental care costs, with savings of approximately 10% to 40% off the provider's usual and customary fees on over 200 dental procedures.

DNoA Select is not an insurance program, so there NO claim forms to submit. You will be required to pay for all dental care services, but will receive a discount from the dental care providers who have contracted with DNoA. The program does not make payments directly to providers of dental services. DNoA Select's administrative office is at Two TransAm Plaza Drive, Suite 500, Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181.

Note: This program is not protected by state Life and Health Guaranty Associations. Because this is a discount program, DNoA has no liability for providing or guaranteeing service by the provider and no liability for the quality of service rendered by the provider.

How the Plan Works

The DNoA Select Referral Program is a national dental program administered by DNoA. The DNoA Select Provider Network has over 15,000 providers nationwide. The DNoA Select Referral Program is NOT insurance, however, it provides members and their families’ savings on their dental care. All providers in the Select network have agreed to accept pre-negotiated rates, saving members approximately 10% to 40% off the provider’s usual and customary fees on over 200 dental procedures.

Occasionally, a provider’s usual and customary fee may be lower than that of the Select Referral rate. If this occurs, the provider charges the member their usual and customary fee with an additional 10% discount.

DNoA Select providers can pass along these savings due to:

No claim forms to submit or referral forms to request or complete
No pre-existing conditions or age limitations
No deductibles or annual maximums to calculate
No limitations or waiting periods on procedures
Select Referral rates include all lab fees
The member paying the Select Referral rate in full at each appointment

If a procedure is not listed on the Select Referral fee schedule, the dentist may charge his or her usual and customary fee.

DNoA offers an expansive list of dentists. To find a provider in your area, check the DNoA Select Referral Network Directory. Our staff of Customer Service Representatives is also available to assist you in your selection of a dental health provider. Please contact the DNoA Customer Service Department at 800-367-1203, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM (Central Standard Time).

Of course, the best dental program around is the one that has your dentist in it. If your dentist hasn’t already joined our network, we’d like to talk to them. All you need to do is complete a Provider Nomination Form, and we’ll take care of the rest.

How to Schedule an Appointment

Call a network dentist.
Identify yourself as a participant in the DNoA Select Referral Program.
At the time of the appointment, present your DNoA Select Referal Program identification card.
Failure to present the DNoA Select Referral Program identification card could result in the members having to pay the provider's usual and customary fee, rather than the DNoA Select Referral rate.

Provider Information

The DNoA Select Referral Network is an exclusive dental network administered by Dental Network of America, Inc. (DNoA), the nation’s premier administrator for managed care dental plans. As a DNoA Select contracting provider, you are joining a choice group of dentists from across the nation who participate in this dental referral program.

The DNoA Select Referral Program offers our providers:

An advertising vehicle that promotes your dental practice through directories and Web site searches;
Ease of administration with a toll-free customer service number to verify member eligibility; and
A tool to retain and/or increase patients.

How the Plan Works

DNoA Select Referral Network providers agree to a pre-negotiated fee schedule based upon the average fees in your ZIP code area. Contracting providers perform dental services for the lesser of:

the DNoA Select Referral fee schedule; or
90% of their usual and customary fee.

The DNoA Select Referral Program identification card will include the DNoA Select logo and toll-free referral number. Members holding this card are eligible for the DNoA Select Referral Program fee schedule. Payment for services is received directly from the member. The contracting provider agrees DNoA does not have any obligation to pay all or any part of the dentist’s fees for services rendered.

When Insurance is Involved

The DNoA Select Referral Program is NOT an insurance program. However, some members may have insurance through a spouse or other family member. If this is the case, complete a claim form using the DNoA Select Referral fee schedule and indicate the patient is eligible for reduced fees through a discount program.

Reimbursement for Services

The DNoA Select Referral Program is an open access program. Members are free to go to any contracting provider for care. Payment for services is paid by the member, not by DNoA.

Treatment Planning

DNoA strongly recommends the use of written treatment plans for DNoA Select Referral members. A written treatment plan helps the member understand the recommended treatment, sequencing of appointments, and their financial obligations. While the member is aware that they are entitled to reduced fees for dental services, they do not receive a copy of the fee schedule. Members appreciate having a clear understanding about their dental care, which helps foster a good doctor/patient relationship, and eliminates any misunderstanding.
